Finally, something blogworthy.Actually that should be Meichen's line, but who cares ;)
So yeah, today, we went to UPPER PIERCE RESOVOIR. To "fish". With nets. When Valencia mentioned nets at first, I thought that it was like those fishing nets in runescape,you know, the ones made outta rope and all, big, sprawling ones. But apparently, she was talking about fishing nets, like the ones you get in aquariums. Splendid. So yeah, we trudged all the way up and down and straight to the resovoir, with the hope that we could meet some of the infamous monkeys. But naeiou..... They didn't appear. Bugger. So yup, we splayed our mat on the grass and went fishing.... I got some tiny little fish and a prawn!!!!!! However, comparing it with Valencia's bounty, mine was pathetic. (She's a really skilled fisherwoman, since she goes there all the time. Hmm.... maybe she's fetish for fish.)
Then we picnic-ed (bread and milo-which I didn't get :( ) So yup, then we packed up. Was getting ready to go, when we saw that THE CONTAINER IN WHICH THE FISHIES WERE IN WAS TOPPLED AND ALL THE LITTLE FISHES WERE SQUIRMING ALL OVER THE GROUND. Erlack. All of us screamed all the way to our 911 rescue, which involved picking up wiggly wiggling fishes and rehydrating them. (Kaixin was really brave! She picked up many many patients.) Sadly, x number of fishes burrowed themselves into the ground, never to see the light of day again. (what did they think the ground was? Sand which was found in the water? Or maybe they were afraid of sunlight, and tried to cover themselves from the sun. Eeeek! Maybe we caught VAMPIRE fishes.) 3 died/flipped over while they were being rehydrated in the container. ;(
So yup, then mingled around for a little while more, and kaixin, valencia and I got scammed by meichen and grace. >:| Then,we headed home.
While we were on the road to modernisation("not" civilisation, acc. to valencia.) we saw MONKEYS. Fugly, they are. Red-eyed and fluffly cheeked and well, just plain ugly. They prevented us from moving at all. Gosh, I even saw two monkeys having *ahem* monkey sex. Yup. Ew. So humane, complete with sound effects. EW. Have to erase it from my mind.
So yeah, in the end, Grace, Kaixin and Valencia ran downhill, leaving Meichen and I stranded there. So, we, deciding, not to lag behind again, walked all calm and composed between the road wedged between monkeys. We were pretty successful, up till the point where this monkey who was walking preeeeeetty close to us, started staring at us with those ewewewewcreepy red eyes and started to strut closer to us. I, thinking, that the monkey was gonna do something to us, let out a shriek and started running too,......
Leaving the container with the fishes partially drained. So, we decided to throw all the fishies away. Bye bye fishes. Nice knowing you. So yeah, that's where the trouble started. As we were running downhill, Meichen apparently dropped her phone, and this old couple gave us a lift all the way to modernisation, so we were stuck between telling them to drop us off now or to continue. Our mouths were glued together, so yup, when we reached AMK hub, Meichen, Valencia and I cabbed back to the "crime scene" while kaixin and grace went home. Blablabla drove there, and hey presto! The phone was still there! No banglas/passerbys/monkeys used/STOLE the phone! Hallelujah~ So yeah, Joy you must believe meichen!! It IS true :)
Yup, then us the trio, went to bishan library and chatted away with potato wedges and coffee. Had a nice time ;)
