And I'm broke so I can't possibly buy anything from downstairs. They charge exhorbitant prices.

Ok , I'll settle for macaroni with chilli and sesame oil.

I just dumped them macaroni in the pot without actually boiling the water first.
Great.
Now I have to fish the m's out again.

Why won't the paper cup burn question
The paper cup needs to be heated up till 451C before it can burn, and water needs to be boiled to 212C before it is boiled.
so yah. The water will boil until it is evaporated first before the cup can burn.
At least that's what google says.
